Another Step in Preserving the Art of Konavle Embroidery

Handbook for Making Konavle Embroidery for Beginners by Antonija Rusković Radonić has been published. In 90 pages, it gives instructions for performing all types of stitches, and the order of creating embroidery elements. With this manual, anyone who wants to try making Konavle embroidery will have the opportunity to step into this traditional art on their own. Those who already embroider will find details that will help them perfect their skills. The book is in Croatian. An English edition will come out later this year.

The book was published by Antonija Rusković Radonić, with support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. A promotion of the manual will take place at the gallery, Gruda 49 in Gruda on March 26th, 2026, Thursday at 6:00 PM.
