Collecting and documenting
One way to follow the history and development of Konavle embroidery is to document its examples. Embroidered specimens in museums usually do not carry information about the creators and how the items were used. The collection of this data adds to the knowledge and interpretation of this handicraft. We are thus creating a database of Konavle embroidery that will remain for the future. When inspecting and documenting Konavle embroidery owned by individuals and families, we are happy to share instructions on keeping and preserving them.
